A woman has become the third person charged over the slaying of Melloney Menhennitt, whose skeletal remains were found in September last year at North Head on Sydney Harbour.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested at 7.15am (AEDT) on Tuesday after detectives attended a home on Fisher Street, Cromer.
She was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with being an accessary after the fact to murder, larceny and common assault and will appear in Manly Local Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Late last month, Cameron Scott, 42, and Michael Franz Widmer, 29, were charged with murdering Ms Menhennitt, who was reported missing on March 24, 2004.
Ms Menhennitt, of Fairlight, was 23 years old when she went missing.
Her remains were discovered on September 26 last year by people searching for bottles in bushland off Scenic Drive, within the Sydney Harbour National Park.
