Video has been released that allegedly shows a drunken Northern Territory mother throwing her baby onto a footpath.

The woman allegedly threw her 10-month-old child onto the concrete after her partner left on a bus without her, the NT News reports.

The Darwin Magistrates Court heard that the woman was drunk and had been arguing with her partner before the incident at Palmerston bus exchange.

The woman cannot be named to protect the identity of the baby.

She has pleaded not guilty to recklessly endangering serious harm to the child.

The woman reportedly told police she was "wild" with her partner and "dropped" the baby.

The CCTV footage of the incident was released yesterday to the media.

The trial will continue in June.
