A Northern Territory policeman has been picked up on a low-range drink-driving offence while driving a police vehicle.
Police said the officer, a 33-year-old man who is stationed in a remote community was breath-tested at 11am (ACST) on Wednesday after staying overnight in Tennant Creek, an NT Police spokeswoman said.
Other police members smelled alcohol on him and administered a breath test, she said.
The officer's alleged blood alcohol concentration was 0.052.
"There are no further details available at this stage while the internal disciplinary proceedings take a full and proper course overseen by the ethical and professional standards command," she said.
