Teen sailor Jessica Watson is tipped to become a millionaire with her successful voyage around the world expected to make her hot marketing property.

The teenager, who will celebrate her 17th birthday on May 18, is understood to have been inundated with publicity offers and is releasing a book detailing her adventures in July.

Watson's manager Andrew Fraser has refused to comment on how much Watson is expected to earn from endorsements, but told the Daily Telegraph she was mindful of her family's financial position.

"All she said was that she wanted to come home and make sure her mum and dad weren't in any debt, so my job is to make sure that happens and that she's set up for life," the newspaper quoted Mr Fraser as saying.

Meanwhile, Watson enjoyed a lie-in this morning for the first time in seven months.

The 16-year-old sailor was welcomed back on to dry land at Sydney Harbour on Saturday by tens of thousands of wellwishers, including Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

It was the first time the Queenslander had stepped off her boat, Ella's Pink Lady, since she set off on her 210-day solo voyage around the world on October 18.

Jessica said she was "overwhelmed" by the reception and said she was looking forward to washing her hair, eating fresh fruit and going for a jog along the beach at her home town of Mooloolaba.

Jessica said she would love to do more sailing in the future, but would be concentrating on "slightly more normal things" in the next few years, such as school and learning to drive.

She was hailed "Australia's newest hero" by Mr Rudd.

"I don't consider myself a hero. I'm an ordinary girl who believed in her dream," she said.
