January 17, 2013: A New South Wales family is struggling to understand how their 21-year-old daughter fell to her death from a hotel balcony in Cronulla.

A last-minute decision to keep partying with friends and check in to a nearby hotel cost Eden Hull her life.

The 21-year-old NSW south coast woman who plunged to her death from a 10th floor Rydges Hotel balcony in Cronulla on Wednesday night had not planned to stay the night, the Daily Telegraph reports.

But as it got late, and the birthday party Ms Hull and her boyfriend Blake Tindall were attending at the Banyan Tree Restaurant was still in full swing, they booked into the hotel.

Police investigating Ms Hull's death are yet to rule whether it was an accident.

Mr Tindall has reportedly told detectives that Ms Hull fell to her death while he was in the bathroom at 11:25pm.

He said when he came back into the hotel room she was gone and a look over the balcony confirmed his fears.

A witness inside the hotel Mikayla Sergi, from Griffith, said she heard the couple arguing just before Ms Hull fell.

"You could hear them arguing and fighting and screaming but I couldn't understand what she was saying," Ms Sergi said.

"It was really loud and then it just went quiet."

Ms Hull's father Robert yesterday struggled to put into words his grief.

"She was just beautiful ... I'll miss her so much," Mr Hull said.

"She was my little girl. I can't believe it."
