A kind-hearted crook has washed, detailed and returned a car he stole from a home in Victoria after the owner expressed her disappointment on Facebook.
East Geelong resident Misty Barth was angry when her Subaru Liberty was robbed from her house last week but now says her car "has never looked better", the Herald Sun reports.
"It just looks immaculate. It's amazing," Ms Barth said.
The remorseful robber not only washed the car but polished and buffed the vehicle and steam-cleaned and vacuumed the interior.
The thief even went to the trouble of fixing a large dint at the front of the Subaru.
Ms Barth and her husband Lindsay lost $3000 worth of camping equipment and tools that they had stored in the car but were still happy to have the vehicle back and in better condition than when they last saw it.
"It looks like a new car," Ms Barth said.
