The Australian King of the Cage tournament, which was given its permit by a state government body, has been condemned by Sport and Recreation Minister John Kobelke.

The Australian Medical Association has also branded the match — due to be held in Perth on October 5 — as potentially deadly but Mr Kobelke says he is powerless to put an end to it.
