A Sydney pensioner has been banned from driving until the next millennium.

Luba Relic, 84, will not be able to drive until the year 3000 after having her licence disqualified for another year by a Manly Court.

Relic had already had her licence cancelled until 2999 for "medical reasons", the Manly Daily reports.

But the extra year penalty came after she was convicted yesterday of negligent driving, driving without a licence and failing to give particulars.

Witnesses told the court how they had seen her drive her Honda Civic into a St Vincent de Paul car park last year and side swipe another car.

Despite being convicted by the court, Relic denies she has done anything wrong.

"It's not true, it's all lies — I have been driving for so long and I am a good driver," she told the Nine Network.

"I can drive but what can I do?

"I have done nothing wrong but the police have targeted me."

According to the Manly Daily, during court yesterday an emotional Relic broke down in tears several times, interrupted witnesses and accused police officers of corruption, lying, assaulting her and associating with drug dealers.

Charity shop worker James Pollet told the court how he had seen driving very slowly and making several attempts to park.

"I saw the cars coming very close together and heard a crunching noise," the newspaper quoted Mr Pollet as saying.

In addition to having her licence cancelled for another year, Relic was ordered to pay $1000 in fines and $73 court costs.
