Gangland wife Roberta Williams has attended her son's court hearing over burglary charges.

Undeterred by the 33 charges against him, the son of gangland figure Roberta Williams laughed, smiled and told his mum he loved her as he faced court on Tuesday.

Tye Stephens, 22, was remanded in custody until April, accused of a four-month crime spree that netted almost $300,000 in cash and goods from October last year to Sunday night.

Police allege Stephens, from Yarraville, stole $153,000 in cash from seven Coles supermarkets across Melbourne and six cars worth $126,000, including four Subaru Imprezas, a Nissan Tiida and a Ford Falcon.

He also allegedly stole $10,000 cash from a bar in Caroline Springs, $2,500 in cash and a safe from a Baker's Delight bakery, $200 worth of cigarettes and $50 in stolen number plates.

He allegedly targeted Coles stores in Brunswick, Brunswick West, Deer Park, Campbellfield, Altona, Moonee Ponds and Ringwood.

Stephens appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with 17 counts of theft and 16 counts of burglary, while his co-accused Daniel Warwick faced similar charges.

Stephens waved from the dock, smiled, laughed and mouthed words to his supporters, including mother Roberta, the former wife of multiple gangland murderer Carl Williams.

At one point, Stephens lifted up his leg to show them his bare feet.

As he was led away after the brief filing hearing, he called "I love you" to his mother, who replied "Love you, too".

Ms Williams made no comment as she left court.

Stephens and Warwick, 27, of Footscray, did not apply for bail and were remanded in custody to face court on the theft and burglary charges on April 7.

They were charged on Monday after detectives raided the Pascoe Vale South property of Ms Williams, former wife of gangland killer Carl Williams, just after 5am (AEDT).

The men were arrested in a street near Ms Williams' home. She was home at the time, co-operated with police and was not arrested.

Police removed property from an old-style caravan sitting in Ms Williams' driveway, alongside two other vehicles.

Her ex-husband Carl is serving a 35-year sentence in Barwon prison for the gangland murders of Lewis and Jason Moran, Mark Mallia and Michael Marshall.

Stephens will next face court in February on separate counts of failing to answer bail and driving while suspended.
