A woman is accused of drink driving in a Mackay crash that killed the brother of Cathy Freeman.
A woman has appeared in court on drink driving charges for a car crash that killed Olympian Cathy Freeman's brother.
Norman Freeman, 34, was a front-seat passenger when the car he was travelling in swerved off the road and hit a parked truck in Mackay, North Queensland, last September.
He died at the scene while his 31-year-old brother Garth, the driver and another back-seat passenger escaped with minor injures.
Crystalea Patricia Blackaby, 22, faced Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with dangerous driving causing death while adversely affected by alcohol, and disqualified driving.
Blackaby was remanded in custody, and the case was adjourned until February 6, when she will appear on video link from Townsville.
