Two masked thieves attempting to hold up an internet cafe were violently attacked by the gamers they were trying to mug.
The masked men walked into the PC Gamerz shop in Kaneohe, Hawaii, around midnight last Wednesday, TV station KHON reported.
The shop's owner, Devin Wolery, was punched in the face after he hit a panic button to warn police.
The two masked men then began demanding money from the people in the shop until one gamer decided to fight back.
Dylan Hays responded to a demand to hand over his Nintendo DS game console by charging at the would-be thief and pulling off his mask.
"He hit me and I kind of just got angry and I bull-rushed him out the door," he said.
"We're gamers, we've been immersed in that culture where we all want to be like Superman, — we're missing something in our brain that says this might be dangerous."
The thieves fled the store but were arrested by police soon after.
The teenage robbers were known to the gamers, according to reports.
