A Catholic priest has been found not guilty of sex offences against a 15-year-old boy in regional NSW in 1991.

Philip John Robson, 63, a member of the Vincentian order at Marsfield, was charged with five offences relating to the student at St Stanislaus' College at Bathurst in central western NSW.

He was accused of one count of attempting to have sexual intercourse with the boy in circumstances of aggravation, and four counts of aggravated indecent assault.

On Tuesday, a NSW District Court jury in Sydney found Robson not guilty of all charges.

In August, another District Court jury found former Catholic priest James Patrick Jennings, 77, not guilty of six counts of indecent assault against four boys.

Jennings was dean of St Stanislaus' College in 1960 and 1961 when the events were alleged to have taken place.
