A Sydney man who was issued a parking fine while slumped unconscious at the wheel of his car is looking for the passer-by who saved his life.

Ray Kausae had arrived at his car in Surry Hills on the afternoon of June 30 to find himself short of breath and dizzy.

Mr Kausae, 58, then passed out in the driver's seat of his car.

He awoke to hear a passer-by telling a parking ranger that someone was inside the car.

Mr Kausae claims that the parking ranger had seen him inside the car but had continued to issue him a ticket.

"I do believe that he saw me in the car and he just felt it was better to make a buck out of it than to try and help me," he told the Nine Network’s A Current Affair.

Mr Kausae believes that the passer-by saved his life that afternoon.

He is trying to find the person so he can give them a reward and in the hope that they can help prove his case in court.

The parking ranger has denied the car was occupied or that he had a conversation with Mr Kausae.
