Two environmental activists have been fined over a "dangerous" protest stunt on the roof of Queensland's Parliament House.
Dr Bradley Russell Smith, 27, and Dhruva Horsfall, 21, each pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday to one count each of failing to comply with directions of the speaker and unregulated high-risk activities.
The Friends of the Earth activists were charged after dropping an eight-metre banner off the roof of Parliament House in Brisbane during the green-farmer rally on August 4.
The banner read: "Don't undermine our farms", and was unfurled as farmers launched a campaign opposed to exploration for coal and coal seam gas on their properties.
Magistrate Sheryl Cornack branded the stunt, which involved the pair scaling fences and walls, as "dangerous".
"I hope you can make all the protests you need to make in a peaceful way and obey the law in the future," she said.
She fined each of them $600, but did not record a conviction.
