A teenager has been charged over five armed robberies in Sydney's west and south west.
Police arrested the 18-year-old after investigating a series of armed robberies at fast food restaurants, convenience stores and liquor outlets earlier this year.
The man was arrested at a Bankstown property early Thursday and charged with five counts of armed robbery with an offensive weapon.
Police say the charges relate to armed robberies at a fast food outlet at Guildford on April 20, a robbery at Bankstown on April 29 and three robberies at separate food outlets in Bankstown and Bass Hill on May 3.
The man appeared at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday and was refused bail to re-appear on Friday.
