AFL player manager Ricky Nixon says he doesn't know how he came to be on the bed of the AFL schoolgirl dressed in his underwear, but he may have been drugged.
Nixon admitted to "inappropriate dealings" with the teenager after he was photographed coming out of her Melbourne hotel room but has denied having sex with the 17-year-old or doing drugs with her.
Speaking to the Nine Network's AFL Footy Show last night, Nixon answered how he came to appear in a damning video of him sitting on her bed in his underwear.
"I don't know what happened that night," Mr Nixon said.
"There has been some explanations of late by someone who seems to be in the know, who calls themselves [the girl's] Best Friend, I suspect it might be [the girl] herself, that said that I was administered 2.5ml of GBH," he said.
"Apparently it is some sort of drug. You lose your inhibitions etcetera etcetera," he said.
The drug gamma hydroxybutyrate, also known as GBH or liquid E, has been linked to sexual assaults because it can be slipped into people's drinks and can cause short-term memory loss.
In the past Nixon, who has admitted to a substance abuse problem, has hinted he may have been drugged during the night he was in Duthie's room, saying he was found later outside his office in "not a great way".
"If anyone invites you, or entraps you, to come to a hotel room to show the world that you have had sex with them, and they have got a video camera running that shows you on the bed dancing around in your underpants, surely there must be some footage of me having sex," Nixon said on Thursday night.
