A Queensland woman claims the drugs found in Schapelle Corby's boogie board bag may have been planted by a Brisbane airport baggage handler.

The clinical counsellor has made a statutory declaration, stating her former boyfriend told her a baggage handler planted marijuana inside a passenger's bag.

The woman's boyfriend, who worked at the airport, said the baggage handler feared his supervisor would discover the 4.2kg drug stash.

Speaking exclusively to Nine News, the woman told of the moment the handler allegedly made his decision.

"When the supervisor was coming down the guy panicked and the first thing he did was look for somewhere to hide it, and he grabbed one of the bags that was behind him and hid it in there."

The woman, who apparently has no connection to the Corby family, said the information had long weighed on her conscience.

"The more and more information i get, the more certain I am (that Corby is innocent).” The woman wants to share the information with police in the hope of securing Corby's release from Bali’s notorious Kerobokan prison.

"What if she is really innocent and she has to do 20 years? What if she doesn't make the 20 years?" she said.

While she refused to be identified due to fear of retaliation at work, she said she was happy to give police the name of at least one of the men involved.

Corby has always maintained her innocence, and a former prisoner at Port Philip Prison testified to a similar story at her Indonesian trial.

John Ford claimed he overheard a conversation in jail about a man planting the drugs in Corby’s bag at Brisbane airport with the intention of having another person remove it when she passed through Sydney.

Corby, 33, has been in jail since 2005 when she was sentenced to 10 years for smuggling the drugs into Bali.

Despite appealing her sentence, her conviction was confirmed by the Indonesian Supreme Court and she is currently petitioning the president for clemency on the grounds of mental illness.

The full story will air tonight at 6pm on Nine News.
