A bikie gang associate crashed a black stretch limousine while disqualified from driving and then assaulted officers, NSW police say.
The limousine allegedly collided with another car in Sydney's Pyrmont about 8.50am (AEST) on Thursday.
"A short time later the limousine was observed by a witness entering a gated work site in Pyrmont, where it crashed into a shed before driving off," police said in a statement.
"A description of the driver of the limousine was circulated to police and at 11.20am a 33-year-old Alexandria man was arrested at a house in Leichhardt."
When police tried to handcuff the man it is alleged he became aggressive and a violent struggle followed.
The man was taken to hospital under police guard where he was treated for injuries believed to have been suffered during the struggle with police and in the earlier crash.
He has since been charged with failing to submit to a roadside breath test, multiple counts of driving while disqualified and failing to stop, plus resisting arrest and assaulting police.
He is due to face Newtown Local Court on a date to be confirmed.
"It is believed the man is an associate of the Rock Machine OMCG," police said.
The Rock Machine gang is most popular in Canada and members wear a ring with the insignia of an eagle.
