A rescue helicopter has picked up three people from a stranded recreational fishing trawler off Queensland's coast, 80km southeast of Mackay.
The helicopter took the two men and a woman to Mackay Base Hospital for observation and assessment after rescuing them on Saturday morning.
The condition of the trio was unknown.
RACQ-CQ Rescue general manager Phillip Dowler said the 14-metre boat, a former fishing trawler now used as a commercial cruise boat, lost steering on Saturday morning.
Mr Dowler said the boat was cruising at two knots using the engines to steer the boat.
