Police say a man accused of stealing produce from the scene of a fatal truck crash in southeast Queensland appears innocent.
A man died when his truck rolled about 5.30am (AEST) on the Gateway Motorway at Eagle Farm on Brisbane's northside on Saturday.
The truck's load of produce, believed to be vegetables, spilled across the road.
Police received reports of a man, seen driving a silver Holden Commodore utility, stealing some of the vegetables.
The man has been interviewed and police say there is no evidence suggesting he took any of the produce.
"Inquiries reveal the person, in fact, stopped to provide assistance to the driver until the arrival of emergency service personnel," a police statement said.
