Victorian police have released CCTV footage of a brutal assault in a Melbourne fast food restaurant that left one victim with serious head injuries.
'Luke', 19, was part of a group at a Hungry Jack's outlet on Chapel St in Prahran at 5.45am when three other males began to punch and kick one of his friends.
When he attempted to break up the fight, he was punched numerous times then choked until he was unconscious.
As he was released he fell to the ground and hit his head, resulting in serious injuries.
At a press conference today, his father Peter Adams said he was "extremely distressed and anxious" about his son's condition.
"There was a lot of concern about the damage done to his head his brain, his facial structure and there was particular concern about damage that may have been done to his optical nerve because of the damage done to his eye," he said.
"You do … get fights between people, but this appears to have been pre-meditated and (there) appears to be no concern for the people who were injured, because the assault continued."
The three attackers fled north along Chapel St.
