Australians in business are feeling the pressure this Christmas, with many opting to work this festive season, a new survey has found.

A study by Regus research of more than 12,000 business people worldwide, found that 58 per cent of Australians will work during the holiday period to catch up on unfinished tasks.

Meanwhile, 34 per cent of Australians said they would be travelling into the office.

Regus regional vice president of Australia William Willems said the survey reflected workers' anxiety.

"For many 2011 has been a year of stress, long hours and employment uncertainty.

"Our findings suggest Australian workers are feeling the pressure of the global economy when it comes to workload and taking time off - with over a third of those planning to work over the holidays."
