Newlyweds Elise and Matt Bothe have set a new standard for Australian wedding videos.
The Perth couple left their relatives and friends in stiches after launching into a professionally choreographed dance routine at their reception on January 20.
Mrs Bothe told ninemsn they wanted their wedding to exemplify their relationship and so that naturally included a hilarious dance-off.
The sequence kicked off with a stirring rendition of the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Loving Feeling", included dance routines to MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and culminated in an all-hands-on-deck boogie down to LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".
"Our life is a bit of a comedy, we're not serious people," Mrs Bothe said.
"So we wanted to show that to everybody — show the brighter side of life — and not have so much of a serious wedding. We just wanted to make it a good party."
The bridal party spent three weeks rehearsing the routine at the West End Dance Studio in Perth.
"Every aspect of it represented something that happened in our lives," Mrs Bothe said.
She said she once had "I've Lost That Loving Feeling" sung to her, like in Top Gun, another time she dressed up as MC Hammer for a 30th birthday party and her friends were long joked to be the "Single Ladies".
And the couple's eight-month-old son Baxter loved to shuffle around the house to the LMFAO song.
Chief bridesmaid Hayley Ralph said she was "horrified" when she was first told of the idea.
"But it turned out to be so much fun," she said. "Clearly the boys won the dance-off with the "Single Ladies" dance.
"The guests were nearly crying with laughter. After the routine happened as soon as we started to get people up, we had nearly everyone on the dance floor.
"It was the best reception party I've ever been to. It was fantastic."
Everafter Productions Aaron Kamp, who shot the wedding, said choreographed routines were becoming more common since a video of a bridal party dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown's Forever went viral.
"Pretty much since that YouTube video it's become more popular to do it," Mr Kamp said.
"Some of them are really well done and others… they try hard but sometimes it doesn't work so well.
"This one was probably the most fun and memorable one that I've filmed."
