A search of cliffs and creeks in a Queensland forest off the Cunningham Highway has failed to find any trace of missing Gold Coast woman Tina Greer.

Police spent Thursday scouring thick scrub around the Governor's Chair lookout in the Spicer's Gap state forest, west of Aratula, where the 32-year-old's car was found.

Ms Greer was last seen in the Beechmont area at 2pm (AEST) on Wednesday, January 18, when she left the Gold Coast for the Aratula area near Lake Moogerah.

Her maroon 2003 Commodore with a distinctive gold Chevrolet badge on the front grille was found parked at the Governor's Chair lookout on January 22.

Police want anyone who visited the lookout between January 18 and 22, or any bushwalkers who were in the area at that time, to call them.

District Inspector Keith McDonald says Ms Greer could have travelled through the Boonah, Aratula and Moogerah areas.

Thursday's operation involved police, detectives from the State Crime Operations Command, stock squad officers and the State Emergency Service.

It concentrated on the western area of the car park at Spicer's Gap and down both sides of Spicer's Gap road. The stock squad also searched a number of local creeks.

"This is the second phase of a search that commenced last week," Det Insp McDonald told reporters.

"The first part of the search focused on cliff areas and the second phase focused on bushland to the west and the road down to the bottom."

Ms Greer has blue eyes, shoulder length blonde hair and a distinctive tattoo of a snake and flowers on the top of her left hand.
