The general manager of Sydney's The Star casino Sid Vaikunta has been sacked amid allegations of sexual harassment.

Echo Entertainment Group chief executive of Larry Mullin made the revelation in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange this afternoon.

"Mr Vaikunta's employment has ended after his behaviour in a work setting," the statement said.

The statement is believed to refer to one or more incidents of sexual harassment in the workplace, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Mr Vaikunta’s replacement is Frederic Luvisutto from Jupiters Gold Coast.
