Two men have tried to abduct a teenage boy in Sydney's west.
The 14-year-old boy was pushing his bicycle along Greystanes Road, Greystanes, when his path was blocked by a silver van around 1.30pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
A passenger, with long dark brown hair and a lip piercing, reportedly grabbed at the boy but he ran away.
The van followed the boy to the intersection of Doris and Dawn Streets, where the passenger again grabbed at him.
But the boy managed to escape a second time and ran home, police said.
The passenger is described as a middle-aged Caucasian man, about 180cm tall, wearing a maroon shirt, black jeans and white sports shoes.
The driver was described only as a man with short, dark 'scruffy' hair.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident, or recognises the descriptions, to contact Merrylands Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
