Police have released a facial image of one of two men involved in a violent armed hold-up in a jewellery story in Melbourne last August.
The man, aged between 45 and 55 years, passed himself off as a florist carrying flowers and a clipboard to gain entry into the Thornbury store in Melbourne's north on the morning of August 27.
When a female staff member opened the door the man allegedly forced his way in, assaulting her and pushing her to the ground while his accomplice ordered other staff to fill a pillowcase with jewellery.
He pulled a balaclava over his face and produced a gun from under his clothing.
Another staffer tried to flee to a storeroom but was dragged by her hair by one of the men before both men took off.
Armed Crime Taskforce Detective Sergeant Brett Kahan said police are concerned by the level of violence shown during the robbery.
"It's obvious that this was a highly organised and planned crime that was executed with a significant amount of violence," Det Sgt Kahan said.
"We're appealing to anyone who may know the identity of these offenders to come forward and assist us with our investigation."
The first offender is described as being aged between 45-55 and 175cm tall, with a solid build and grey hair.
The second man is Caucasian and aged in his 20s or 30s, with dark coloured hair.
