Dramatic footage has emerged of the violent brawl that led to the drowning of a young Sydney man at Darling Harbour on Sunday.
Jason Daep, 19, was at the at Pontoon Bar about 1am when the fight started and spilled out on to the adjacent boardwalk.
The exclusive footage obtained from a bystander by Nine News shows about 20 men viciously punching and kicking each other only metres from the water's edge.
Mr Daep, who did not know how to swim, ended up in the water and sank quickly, prompting a police officer and members of the public to jump in to try to rescue him, but to no avail.
A friend told Nine News he saw Mr Daep go into the water but was being held down and could not help.
Police divers located Mr Daep's body about 3.30am.
The footage has been given to the police.
Former bouncer Ehab Taleb appeared in Central Local Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and affray.
Taleb, 22, is accused of assaulting Mr Daep and pushing him into the water.
Two other men have been charged with affray in relation to the brawl.
All three will appear again in court at a later date.
