Divers have found the body of a man whose clothes and dog were found on the bank of a northwestern Queensland lake.
Police say mining company divers found the body of William Marshall in Lake Moondarra, outside Mount Isa, at 10am (AEST) on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old local man told relatives he was going for a swim there about 3pm (AEST) on Monday.
But when his family went looking for him just before 4pm all they found was his dog sitting beside his clothes on the bank.
Despite mounting a search on Monday evening, his relatives, police and SES volunteers could not find him.
The search was stopped overnight and resumed at first light on Tuesday.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and are preparing a report for the coroner.
