Police say a man, identified as Alexey Gitelman, died after falling at an apartment in Sydney.
Police have released the identity of man who died in Sydney's east after suffering head injuries in suspicious circumstances.
Paramedics went to a flat in Namatjira Place, Chifley, about 3.45am (AEDT) last Thursday following reports that a man was unconscious after a fall.
The man, named by police as 40-year-old Alexey Gitelman, was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he was put on life support.
He died about 6pm on Tuesday.
Hospital staff informed police of the incident after Mr Gitelman was found to have sustained a fractured skull.
A crime scene was established at the flat.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information about Mr Gitelman's death to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
