Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from her NBA star husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.
The reality TV star cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split in court documents filed overnight, entertainment website TMZ reports.
Humphries said he was shocked by his wife's decision.
"I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents," he was quoted as saying on TMZ.
"I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce… I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
TMZ said the couple could not agree on where they should live and this was the reason for the split.
Humphries, 26, was determined to move to Minnesota and thought he could convince his new wife.
But Kardashian, 31, could not be persuaded to leave Los Angeles, where her family and career are based.
The couple were married on August 20 in an extravagant ceremony believed to cost about $10 million.
But neither of them had to pay a cent for the wedding, instead raking in more than $17 million from the big day in TV and magazine deals.
Despite the divorce, the pint-sized star remains committed to her promotional trip to Australia and is due to arrive tomorrow.
Kardashian was scheduled to fly last night but Qantas head of operations Alan Milne told TODAY she cancelled her initial flight and will instead fly today.
