Another student filmed the exchange on their mobile phone, showing the English teacher repeatedly shouting at the girl before being attacked.
While news outlets worldwide have written about the video, some YouTube commenters are suggesting the exchange was staged as promotion for a new TV show on the Russian equivalent MTV.
