Channel Seven has been forced to apologise after it gave away the outcome of last night's My Kitchen Rules episode in an ad break during the show.
Viewers of the hit reality program in Adelaide took to social media to blast the network when a promotional ad showed father and son pair Mick and Matt still in the show.
The Comeback Kitchen episode gives eliminated couples the chance to re-enter the main competition, but 40 minutes into the show, Seven showed a preview of this week's show which included Mick and Matt.
Seven admitted the mistake and issued an apology, blaming the gaffe on a programming error.
"Channel Seven sincerely apologises to My Kitchen Rules viewers for tonight's unfortunate promo scheduling error," a spokesperson told the Herald Sun.
The show's official Facebook page was inundated with angry viewers venting their frustration at the spoiler.
"Did they just show Mick and Matt getting through on the commercial ..?" Melissa Salotti wrote.
"Um in SA the ad just ran that Mick and Matt get back in - the dishes haven't even been judged yet bad ad running Chanel 7," Ash-Mitch Goldsmith added.
A post on the MKR Facebook page had almost 2500 comments while Twitter also came to life with complaints.
"Don't worry Mick & Matt — Grand Final promo shows you're in before Comeback Kitchen has even finished #MKR #programming #fail," Simon Leong tweeted.
"why are u always telling in the commercials what'll happen next time, now we don't have 2 watch? #fail #mkr," Kim Peters wrote.
Mick and Matt will tonight battle it out against four other pairs for a place in the show's semi-final.
