The son of one of two brothers shot dead on a merino property in western Victoria has been charged with their murders.
Ross Streeter, 30, of the Bendigo suburb of Strathfieldsaye, appeared in a brief out-of-sessions court hearing on Monday where he was charged with two counts of murder.
Streeter, who had spent two days in hospital after being arrested on Saturday, appeared with his left arm heavily bandaged and in a sling.
He's accused of killing his father Douglas Streeter and his uncle John Streeter - both aged in their 60s - at a property at Natte Yallock, near Avoca, on Thursday night.
The bail justice asked him if he needed to see a doctor and Streeter replied in the affirmative.
Streeter was wearing a hospital gown and green cargo pants.
He was remanded in custody overnight to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
No evidence was led during the brief hearing.
