A cheeky couple have reportedly posed with their underwear around their ankles in a French changing room as Google photographers visited the store.
The staged photo from a sports clothing shop in the French ski resort Briançon went viral this week as news sites such as Gawker in the US and The Sun in England fell for the prank.
According to The Sun newspaper, Google later blurred the amorous couple's legs out of the photo – but now appear to have removed the prank photo from their Street View function.
The pair's steamy changing cubicle session appears to be from a series of photos the skate and ski store staged when Google cameramen visited the store.
Other shots reportedly included a skier launching through the shop's doors and a man riding a BMX bike down the stairs.
Google has invited businesses to create virtual tours of their stores so customers can browse from home on Google Store View.
