Tia Ewing from TV news station Fox 40 in California didn't know the cameras were still rolling when she busted out dance moves to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" during an ad break at 4.15am.

TV newsreader Tia Ewing says she did not know the cameras were still rolling when she busted out these dance moves during an ad break.

The anchor for Fox 40 in California spins, shimmies and shakes to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" while holding a tablet computer in one hand while her colleagues kept filming last Friday around 4.15am.

After a few minutes a producer's arm sweeps across the screen to let Ewing know she will soon be back on the air.

"I gotta get it where I can get it," Ewing explained to her co-workers on-air in a later segment.

"I just didn't know the camera was rolling."

She later tweeted: "They caught me, BUSTED! Let's hope this doesn't go viral!"

However, it was Ewing herself who posted the video on YouTube and at last count it had clocked up nearly 280,000 views.
