While many kids spend their free time playing computer games, 10-year-old Edward Pinder likes to throw knives at his mother.
The youngster, who has been performing the knife-throwing routine since he was a toddler, travels with his family's circus around Britain eight months a year, the Daily Mail reports.
While he has had a few close calls, Edward has never hit his mother with the eight-inch blades, and practices every night after his homework at their specially constructed circus ring in their home in Leicestershire, Britain.
"Sometimes my friends come over and think it's really cool," Edward said.
"If you can play darts, you should be able to throw knives accurately."
His mother, Erika, said that while dodging the knives was "very scary", she trusted her son, who now wants to upgrade to throwing razor-sharp stars and axes.
The two escaped with no scratches after they completed their first show of their latest tour last week.
