April 21, 2013: A neighbour watching from a window as police surrounded Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev filmed a deafening volley of gunshots.

Swarms of police surround a home on a leafy suburban street before a barrage of deafening gunfire suddenly pierces the air.

This chaotic scene, filmed from the window of a nearby house, is believed to be the last stand between Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and authorities before he surrendered on Friday evening in the US.

The 19-year-old, who is now in hospital under police guard, was found lying wounded in a boat behind a home in Watertown, Massachusetts after a gunfight with officers the night before.

His brother and suspected bombing accomplice, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in the gun battle after being shot by police and run over by Dzhokhar as he escaped.

Police hurried to the home of Watertown resident David Henneberry about 7pm local time yesterday after he found the young man lying in his boat in a pool of blood.

Boston stations ABC 5 WCVB and Fox 25 WCVB have reported mobile footage posted online shows the last clash between police and the bombing suspect.

April 21, 2013: It has been claimed this amateur vision, caught from an upper level at a nearby house, captures the final shootout between law enforcement and second Boston Marathon bombings suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Three people were killed and 180 wounded in twin explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday local time.
