There is no sign of trouble as veteran Hungarian wingsuit daredevil Victor Kovats leaps off a cliff in China - no indication the plunge will leave him dead.
In a new video, Kovats can be seen gliding over a deep valley in an orange jumpsuit with ease before suddenly disappearing among the green tree canopies.
It is the last time Kovats would be seen alive.
His body was later found by rescue crews at the foot of a 100m cliff, his skull completely smashed.
Kovats, a six-year veteran of the sport, was preparing to compete in the Second World Wingsuit Championship which sees competitors jump some 700m from cliff faces into parkland.
His final post on his Facebook page says: "First day of practise and we're heading out to the mountains in like 20 minutes".
Footage shows Kovats soaring close to the tree tops before witnesses lost sight of him it is then, they claim, that Kovats would have crashed to the ground as his parachute did not open.
A message on the Red Bull World Wingsuit League Website said: “We are deeply saddened by Victor Kovats's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents and friends during these difficult times."
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
