eBay shoppers got more than they bargained for when a seller's naked reflection appeared in the photo she had uploaded to her listing.
English woman Aimi Jones, 21, can be seen wearing just a bra as she takes a photo of the yellow skater dress she was trying to sell on the auction site on Saturday.
Ms Jones told The Sun the shot was an embarrassing mistake, but many on social networks such as Twitter and Facebook have suggested the move was a clever marketing ploy.
Either way the revealing photo soon made its way onto Twitter where the hashtag #ebayyellowskaterdress quickly trended.
Ms Jones said she alerted eBay as soon as she was aware of the slip-up, but by the time they had removed the listing, the image had gone viral.
Ms Jones, a waitress and qualified beauty therapist, re-listed the yellow dress after it was removed, this time posing next to the outfit in just a black jacket.
Not overly fazed by the incident, Ms Jones said her boyfriend thought it was funny and that she had received many messages from 'fans' around the world, including Australia.
"I reported it to eBay and they took it down, but by then it had gone viral," she told The Sun.
"I've had messages from Australia and the US saying nice things but there are some nutters."
