An application that lets iPhone users wobble a pair of woman's breasts has been rejected by Apple's application store.

The developers of "iBoobs" say they were told by the computer giant that the application was rejected because of "objectionable content".

"If you believe that you can make the necessary changes so that iBoobs does not violate the iPhone SDK Agreement we encourage you to do so," Apple said.

The premise of the "game" is simple: users shake the phone, which has an inbuilt motion sensor, and the breasts jiggle.

Some computer buffs have accused the programs’ creators, Mystic Game Development, of copying a similar program that used to be played on DOS, the operating system before the modern point-and-click Windows system.

That game reportedly used mouse clicks instead of shaking to stimulate the breasts.

Blogs and forums are abuzz with news the iBoob application has been snubbed by Apple, with many expressing support for it.

"When videos of Britney Spears rolling around naked are available for purchase on iTunes, why can't a stupid animation of boobs in a bikini be available?," one user wrote in response to a blog titled: "No iBoobs for you!"

Another wrote: "Sad day for iPhone and iPod Touch users all over the world ... a moment of silence please."

Others believed the application would be in hot demand: "That would be a top seller if priced at $.99 — guaranteed."

The appetite for novelty "applications" on the iPhone is high: iFart — a program that blasts fart noises from the phone — has become the most downloaded application since it was added 12 days ago.

The developers of the program, which costs $1.19, say they have made $11,058 (after Apple takes its 30 per cent cut).
