The identity of a lycra-clad cyclist seen riding a penny farthing bicycle and towing a stuffed animal has been revealed after she was spotted in Perth on Google Street View.
The rider, photographed on Marine Pde in Cottesloe in 2009, is Nicky Armstrong, a champion penny farthing rider.
The Fremantle woman tows a toy penguin, called “Peng”, behind her to help stabilise her bike and stop it flipping over if she has to stop suddenly.
The images of Ms Armstrong were spotted on Google four days ago by a Reddit user, sparking discussion on the site about what led to the strange scenario.
