Florida surfer rides with dolphins

A US wakeboarder has been captured on film getting a close-up view of two playful dolphins surfing the wave right beside him.

The YouTube clip, posted on January 17, shows Mitchell Overton riding a board behind a power boat near St Pete Beach, Florida, when a pair of dolphins show up to join in.

As he skillfully surfs up and down the wake without a tow-rope, the dolphins show off their own aquatic skill, jumping high out of the water and gliding just beneath the surface metres from his board.
