Saboteurs have targeted the online tribute page of a British girl murdered by her father, saying she "had it coming".

Francesca McFall and her mother Susan were smothered to death by father Hugh McFall last Friday before he killed himself.

Friends set up a tribute page for Francesca which was sabotaged over the weekend.

Descriptions of how the 18-year-old and her mother died were left on the page alongside photographs of Francesca's head superimposed on naked or half-naked bodies.

One member said they were "horrified" at the comments and described them as "sick".

Francesca's cousin Jonny Molesworth replied to the attacks, saying: "You have no idea what it's like to lose an aunty, uncle and cousin in the same day".

The comments and photographs have been removed and the tribute page is now private.

McFall is believed to have telephoned police early last Friday morning and told them he killed his daughter and wife. The 48-year-old then drove to his florist shop and killed himself.

It is not clear what motivated the killings, with neighbours describing McCall as a mild-mannered man.

Friends paid their respects to the family at a church service yesterday.
