Reporter attacked by frisky reindeer

A Norwegian television reporter has been attacked by a frisky reindeer while preparing for an interview.

Marie Elise Nystad, who works for NRK Sami Radio, was with cameraman Jorgen Eide when the animal leaped on her shoulders.

The reporter shuffled sideways before collapsing under the weight of the reindeer.

"Suddenly, it jumped on me," Ms Nystad told the NRK Radio's website.

"I was completely put out. The only thing I thought of was to keep on my feet, but the deer was huge and heavy, and it pushed me forward.

"Finally I fell on my knees [into the snow]."

Nystad said she thought the attack was "quite comical".

"I could not do anything but laugh," she said.
