A British pensioner has been rescued after falling 25m from her cliff-top garden while trying to mow the lawn.
Two teenagers discovered Kate Nicholl, 66, lying on jagged rocks on the shore of the River Tay in Fife, eastern Scotland, the Telegraph newspaper reports.
"We were just walking on the beach to pass the time on a hot summer's evening, when we just came across her," one of teenagers, Ian Anderson, told the newspaper.
The 17-year-old said he and his friend were alerted by her pleas for help.
"She was waving her arms and shouting for help. We went over to where she was, and it was obvious she was badly injured. There was blood all over her head and down her shirt."
Mrs Nicholls was airlifted to hospital by helicopter and is in a stable condition.
Her husband, Findlay, said the garden she had slipped from backed onto the sheer cliff.
"I'm just relieved she is going to be OK. She is still in hospital, but she is going to be fine."
