October 29, 2012: A thief in Hungary has been caught on video snatching a woman’s smart phone and escaping through the closing doors of a train.

A commuter has filmed a brazen thief in a lightning-fast snatch attack, stealing a passenger's phone in the blink of an eye before making his escape.

Footage of the incident, which took place on a train in Budapest, was taken by a passenger who noticed the man acting suspiciously.

The suspenseful clip shows the man biding his time before quickly snatching the phone and running through the train’s doors.

The victim is powerless to react as the man slips out the door as it closes.

After going viral overseas, the 28-year-old man was eventually tracked down by police in Budapest and confessed after being arrested.

Local media identified the man as B. Tibor, and he is believed to be a suspect for a string of other thefts.
