Most US citizens were either out of town or bunkered down as superstorm Sandy crossed the mainland yesterday, but a few roving reporters ventured into the storm for the sake of journalism.
While these committed journalists brought us reports from the midst of the hurricane, they fought against wild winds and rough seas and often came off second best.
Rogue waves were to blame for most problems, with reporters and their gear sometimes coming frighteningly close to being swept away.
