A 16-year-old girl does not know why a stranger ran up behind her on a London street and knocked her unconscious in a random attack caught on camera.
Footage that has shocked the United Kingdom shows the unidentified teenager walking along High Street, Plaistow, after midday on Tuesday, November 13.
Without warning a man runs up behind her and knocks her to the ground with a right hook to the side of her head.
The girl spent the night in hospital after hitting the footpath face first.
The assailant, described as a 6ft-tall man aged between 25 and 30, then jogged back the direction he came.
"I hope he does get caught so he doesn’t do it again to another person," the girl told ITV.
"I hope I am his last victim."
The victim said she had no memory of the sucker punch and only remembers waking up in an ambulance.
The teen was only about 500m from her home.
