January 02, 2013: An 18-month-old boy has hit the slopes in Canada despite still being too young to speak.

They say you're never too young to learn a sport.

This appears to be true for one 18-month-old snowboarder who is hitting the slopes in Canada, despite being too young to talk.

Nevek was filmed bravely sliding down the ski fields near Montreal in Canada with his father by his side and a dummy clamped firmly in his mouth this week.

Nevek's father, who did not want to be named, told CBC that he started teaching his son to snowboard so he could join in with the rest of the family.

Her three-year-old sister Abigail is a relative pro, with two years snowboarding under her belt.

"I'm going every week on a different hill so I want to bring him and his sister with me everywhere I go," Nevek's father said.

The father said Abigail was becoming a big fan of the sport.

"She's always asking me when are we going, when are you taking me snowboarding?" he said.

Nevek on the other hand is still too young to talk but it surely won't be long before he's badgering his father too.
